We still have three positions open for PTO for next year. In order to offer all that we do for the school, we need volunteers. Please look at the descriptions and consider whether this is something you can do to help the school. Our meetings are the second Monday of each month during the school year. Thanks to everyone who participated in the first ever Longmont Estates Elementary Recycled Art Show! We had a lot of entries, and it was neat to see how students used material that would otherwise have been thrown away. Before you throw something out at home, think about how else it might be used! At home, consider buying products with less packaging or which create less landfill waste. Don’t forget to sign up for the city’s curbside composting service, too! Here are the winners from the 2018 recycled art show:
Let’s celebrate another successful school year at Longmont Estates with some fun and dancing! The cost is $2 per person, with a family maximum of $10 per family to get into this dance party. This year the proceeds will be going to support the cost of Avid for Adventure in the 2018-2019 school year. We will be serving chips, cookies, and drinks. So get some dinner before you come dance the night away with your friends and DJ Chris.
"Just Between Friends" raised $253 for Longmont Estates Elementary at their recent consignment sale. These books will be distributed to classrooms and students. Thank you "Just Between Friend", Michelle Hackney, the Longmont Estates community and the people who donated. We appreciate your support of our school!

Congratulations to Jessicca Shaffer and Jamie Lockwood for being chosen as 2018 Jared Polis Foundation Teacher Recognition Honorees!
Mrs. Shaffer is the STEM Coordinator at Longmont Estates Elementary School and Mrs. Lockwood is a third grade teacher at Indian Peaks Elementary School. The two educators were selected as honorees along with nine others by the Foundation and program’s selection committee. The committee felt the nominations clearly demonstrated that Jessicca and Jamie are caring, effective and dedicated teachers.
Thank you for your continued partnership and unwavering support which has contributed significantly to student achievement and success. I am deeply appreciative of our community, as you have consistently demonstrated your value for public education through the generous passage of several mill levy overrides and bond initiatives, among many other ways that you have strengthened our schools. Together with our excellent teachers and staff, our students are receiving the benefit of an outstanding education.
