As you read in the email from Dr. Haddad, moving forward, any time that our schools must temporarily close due to inclement weather, we will be instituting online learning days. During these closures to in-person learning, students will receive synchronous direct instruction with additional asynchronous time to complete assignments.
Classroom teachers will hold a synchronous morning meeting from 9:30-10:30 a.m. to take attendance, provide direct instruction, and give students an overview of the at-home assignments and activities. Teachers will hold virtual office hours in the afternoon from 1:00-2:00 p.m. to provide support with schoolwork. Required school work will focus on language arts & math instruction and specialists may assign optional activities.
In accordance with our current attendance procedures for remote learning days, students will be markes as “participated” if they join the classroom Webex or complete the asynchronous language arts/math school work posted in SeeSaw ans Schoology. Schools will continue to be flexible with families who are unable to login during online learning days.
